You can share your data if you are an ‘eligible customer’. To be eligible, you must:
- Be a current customer with an energy retailer
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have your own email address registered and authenticated by your energy retailer
- Have your own mobile phone number registered and authenticated by your energy retailer
- Have your consumption under an electricity contract be less than 5GWh in the previous 12 months (or if the contract has existed for less than 12 months, the estimated annual consumption is less than 5GWh). A contract might include more than one connection point/supply address.
If you fall into one of the categories below, you can’t share your data until May 2024:
- You have a joint account
- You have a small business account with multiple authorised contacts
- You are a large business
- You have a complex scenario (e.g., you’re part of an embedded network)
